I have replaced the Interstate I lost some nineteen months ago.

She's currently in Port Orchard, Washington.  I'll plan to fly out and retrieve her the last week of May.

I won't brag about the price, because I don't wish to insult or offend the seller, but I will say that I paid less than did my friend, Big Al.  Wink

Lots, but fewer than my Standard with 150K.   Wink   She's averaged over seven thousand per year.   Cool

Bob, I'm sure you know there are no "extra" Valks.  We'll have three at my house.  I think 'Binder has six or more.    Smiley

Yeah, but yours looks like Stanley Steamers!

In a word, yes.  I sort of hate to do that to a perfectly good shield, and that one appears to be wider than stock.   Undecided

Nice looking.

And passenger floorboards and rider floorboards and highway floorboards and a Russell saddle with back rest and a center stand with grab bars on both sides and spark plug valance and transmission cover and more and more.

Some of it is great.  Some of it I already have (Thanks, Raymond).  Some of it just isn't for me.

I'm guessing I'll recoup over $1000 of the purchase price.   Wink

Best wishes,

Glad you were able to make the deal. Looks nice! I am concerned about it sitting until late May. I could go over and pick it up and flush it with fresh fuel occasionally. Just a thought.

Hate to see the limited Washington State Valk pool deprived of such a fine example.

I'm not certain, but from his description of its origin I thought it was a Russell.  He said it was done by someone in Washington, though, and I see that Russell is out of California.

At any rate, I won't need it.  I have an Ultimate with which I'm very pleased.

There are actually three "Russell" seats being made. The original owner of Russell Day-Long seats (the ones that pretty much everybody buys when they buy a "Russell") sold the business some years ago. Two of his sons, Rick Mayer and Bill Mayer make "Russell"-like seats also (two seperate businesses). It was either that or Rick and Bill Mayer owned Russell Day-Long and sold it... one or the other. I did some research on this last year.

I think the original design is patented so the two brothers make similar, but different seats than Russell Day-Long.

If you got it less than 6,900 $ then you did good.

Hope you have a safe trip out and a safer one back home.

Arre you flying up?

I like the bike except the Black Ones are faster, had two black ones and they just cut throuhg the

air better.

I really like mine.

I rode over to Smoky Mountain Harley and always get strange looks, tried to be inconspicuous

but had that darn stereo pumping solid rock oldies.

They jsut look and smirk and frown.

Don't care casue as big as I am and as well armed as I am , no one starts any trouble.

An armed society is a polite society.

As for your recent purchase, I hope it's a good one and gives you all the satisfaction mine has so far.

The guy even had the oil cahnged for me and had almost new tires, I am not used to a deal like

that.

While at the Shed I noticed Unnknown Hinson is playing tomorrow night at the shed , this guy is great and

I invite all in the East Tennessee area to coame on out and support this guy.

*8 pm at the Shed , if you ride your bike over you get in five dollars cheaper .

That is a fact not a rumor, I plan to be there good Lord willing.

Happy Easter everyone.

Resurrection , that is a mind tangler and I am enjoying every minute that I know a Good Man died for me Even God's own and Only son.

Jesus

That should be enough to make all of us shout.

Come freely as you are and accept him as your Savior by calling on his name and confessing wiht your mouth and you shall be saved.

Everyone who calls on this name is making a choice for eternal life , I did and it has been a Blessing every since that day. Or night as in my case.

Praise God , the Father for this Miracle.

I wonder why you took them off the Tourer.

Willow,

I had put the goldwing big bike parts adjustable chrome levers on my interstate and loved them enough that I decided to put them on the tourer.  Nothing wrong w/ them except I wanted my levers a bit longer than the kury's as well...

That is one nice I/S Willow. Good buy, nice accessories, and hope it gives you many miles of great (s)miles.

But if you ever wish to donate an Interstate to a good cause,....remember the George "Momz" Fischer Valkyrie Aquisition Charitable Fund (unfortunetly it is not tax deductable, but greatly appreciated). Grin
