I got 1000 or so on mine.  Honestly, I can't tell the difference other than the pricetag, and hopefully the longevity.

Toyo Proxes T1-R is a fine choice, it will be on the back of my Valk for as long as they make them...that is what is on yours, right?

Congrats!  cooldude You'll love it! How does your other half like it? You have let her ride it right?  Cheesy I'm with Jabba. Hard to tell the differance from a mc tire. Except for gravel drive ways and occasiaonal rough road.

Biggest difference I've noticed is higher countersteering effort due to rear tire wanting to track straight and it is more sensitive to uneven surfaces.  Very good rear braking performance due to the larger contact patch when upright.

I also recently went Dark Side, and my observations:

#1. NOT going back!
#2. Definitely more counter-steering input required. There's a section of semi-twisty road I go through almost daily that I'd gotten to where I'd set the throttle lock and do the whole 1.5 mile or so section with no hands. I can still do that on the DS tire, but it takes a LOT more leaning to make it happen...
#3. Irregular services are... interesting... There's a BADLY grooved section of freeway near me. As in the grooves go in all kinds of random directions at points, the road curves right, the grooves curve left, that kind of stuff. Now, it can be terrifying in a CAR even, but it's definitely been interesting the first few times on the DS tire too. I lowered my PSI and tried it again yesterday, still interesting, but much better overall...
#4. Still waiting on my cookie dangit!  Grin

I didn't put a car tire on until the sidecar was installed, fantastic traction for stopping!  Very stable on the road.

Not having the experience with the Dark Side on two wheels, it seems like the car tire would be squirrelly on asphalt that is 'dished' from semi's stopping.

Yea it is, to a small point. So was Metz 200 mm. Only ran into it twice in 10,000 miles tho that I remember. Stopping at a light at a town and on the Interstate in PA. I had to run the groove for about 50' to get out of it. Its kinda like driving a truck in a plowed field. Follow the ruts till you get to the end!  Smiley
