Great pictures of the remembrance of the Miracle of Salvation in Christ.

Jesus, the ole boy that was said to be a Carpenters son in a small village on the other side of

the Earth.

Jesus told them I will build my Church and nothing not even the Gates of Hell will prevail

against it.

My faith is in him and him alone.

Anything else is just fluff.

One question you need to ask and I already have.

Do YOU Know Him.

Do you Know him.

Without one doubt in your mind once he has known you or better yet you have said yes to the free

gift of Salvation in Christ.

Don't fear this statement because once you hear his voice calling he will pursue you to the end of it's conclusion.

He will never force Salvation upon you , it has to be your choice.

Billy Graham said it best" You can Know that you know that you know.

Wiht out one doubt in your mind that Salvation has been imparted to you.

God help all those that would make that choice today.

For I am not ashamed of the Jesus in whom I have believed and will see again at the Judgement seat of Christ

i found some of the pictures quite disturbing.  it truely amazes me what people do in the name of god.  what scares me more is, it seems their god is the only one, and you're going to hell 'cause you're not a member of my church.

I'm truely amazed what the world has done without God.
I see amazing things in my church each week, but  it is only through my Lord Jesus Christ that I am saved.

I am not ashamed of the Gospel nor apologetic about it either. Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through me. This is a gift from God that He gave His Sons life so we could have a relationship with Him. That today we celebrate that Christ is no longer in the grave which means that He conquered sin and death for us. That He made the way, presents it to us as a gift and then says I have set before you life and death choose life. All for the purpose of a relationship with Him and that we may have life and have it more abundantly. No other god has done this for his people most have to give gifts to their god and even die for them get flailed and none have shown their power over death, over sin, and have the ability to speak to us from beyond the grave. So today I say with abundant joy HE HAS RISEN HE HAS RISEN INDEED cooldude cooldude cooldude  Religion is not relationship and things have been done in the name of God that was for mans gains not Gods. Many use this as a excuse to show that God is not good all to their own error. God is not glorified by anything that man has made but is worshiped by our praise and daily acts guided by the His word. I would say to all those that dont have a relationship with Christ and speak against it to try it and see what its like before you condemn it. It may be the best thing you've done in your life. A personal relationship with our Lord may look entirely different than what was imagined.

I found some of the images disturbing also.  The understanding of the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus, the Christ, varies greatly not only between those who believe and those who do not, but even among believers.

Truthfully, it's really not as general as was stated, "their God is the only One and you're going to Hell 'cause you're not a member of my church."  Some even in our own churches have not entered into eternal life and will not spend eternity with "our" God.  It isn't membership or association with any church or denomination that truly matters.  What matters is one's relationship with Jesus Christ and acceptance of His free gift of salvation.  Those who will not serve Him in this life will simply not serve Him in the next.

The important question in my life and yours is the same as Pilate's query of the crowd on that fateful night, "What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?"

Today we celebrate the pivot upon which all of Christian faith revolves.  Today those of us who believe celebrate, but also, hopefully, reflect and examine ourselves, our own belief, and our hope that our own lives reflect the true meaning of the birth, death and resurrection of our Lord.

Once not so long ago I lay on what I believed for a moment to be the threshold of the next world, the gateway out of this one.  As someone would say, "I pushed the door open just a crack."   Thankfully it was not the exit nor the entry that I thought it to be, but one day I will, as will all, cross that threshold.  I sincerely hope to be joined by many of you on the other side.

" ... for I know Whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day."

He is risen.  He is risen indeed!

I agree with Wayne on those postings. I was going to add some comments, but after reading through the various postings....I really had nothing to add. You two gents and Pat Schmidt have stated it all for me.

No religion (church) has ever gotten anyone to heaven....and no religion (church) has ever sent anyone to hell.  Anyone, from any religion (church) can enter into a relationship with the Lord Jesus simply by acknowledging their hopless sinfulness without him and turning from what the world accepts to the holiness God demands by accepting Jesus as savior.

Also dramatic displays of RELIGION (CHURCH) dont make you more saved.  Its a still small  voice and a choice thats made in the heart, contrite and humbled before God that brings salvation.  Like Al said all the displays seen here are fluf compared to Christ....not that they are bad, its just that religion is not salvation and all that showmanship is just religion in one way shape or form.

Wink I guess you're getting all the mail, today,  alph.   I want to point out that  the activities the celebrants are engaged in aren't as  bizarre (to me at least) as what some people do in the name of  fashion or their favorite sports team, never mind Mardis Gras .

Thanks folks and what willow said is my main point as well.

" ... for I know Whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day."

He is risen.  He is risen indeed!
