sorry no pictures I forgot the camera

The Valkyrie has been sitting lately so I rode down the Saw Mill Parkway to take the Tappan Zee bridge over the Hudson on a perfect day
Stopped by my parents for a while then took the Palisades Parkway up to Harriman State Park

The roads in the park are pretty good shape considering the potholes everywhere else

Only exception Perkins Drive where someone dumped loads of sand (from a copious amount  of the stuff by the 320 degree canted turn onto the entrance road ) Took the fun out of that stretch of road.  Why dump sand on mountain access road with only occasional rocks for guard rails that is CLOSED from Thanksgiving to April 1 I have no idea

Managed to avoid several speed recognition awards on the way home going down rt 9

Just over 100 miles for the ride. Have to finish my honey do's this afternoon for the boss/

Hope you all had a terrific easter sunday those of you who celebrate it with family and friends

Short ride here, too. Awesome weather here.

I ride a motorcycle because nothing transports me as quickly from where I am to who I am.

Sweet people out enjoying the pretty spring weather and talking about it.

That's what a board like this she do more often.

I know I stray myself sometimes.

Like today I took the rear wheel off to check the diff.

Happy wiht what I found, teeth, bearings and seals all well maintained wiht Molydenum Grease

Packed superfluously in all the right places.

Tire is about 40% at best after a thousand miles of Big Al Punishment so it will be replaced

but not with a car tire.  Saw my parts salesman at the Unknown Hinson concert last night and

Ordered it as we talked.

What a deal.
