Need more info. on removing the calif. smog can. Without doing complete desmog. The can be removed and has no affect on the Valk. performance etc. ? Also do the hoses need to be plugged? Would appreciate if someone could list the link info. on this. I had it but can't seem to find it now. Thanks

Here's the de-smog instructions and there is a link for the additional PRK equipment.

Can I remove the canister only. If so, what affect on bike if any. Do I need to plus the hoses.

The can is a part of the whole anti-smog system on the bike.
It would make no sense to remove the can and then adjust the rest of the system to work without the can.
But if you're determined to do it regardless just connect up the two loose ends together. All the can is, is a reservoir vacuum source to help out the fresh air system when at low motor speeds, like at idle.
Doing a complete smog removal on the bike will affect
nothing
. Your bike will still pass the vehicle emission standards.
Removal may quiet down some of the noises that emit from the system.
