I went back to the link you posted and this time I printed out the instructions for fixing the EXE thingy so I could follow them without going back and forth etc. And I have fixed the EXE file association problem. I opened several programs/applications I had not been able to open before I got on here to say THANK YOU !!!
As you know there are fixes on that website for other file association problems so if I encounter more problems hopefully I can get them fixed myself now. Thanks again Chilli.  cooldude
I guess it was luck that I could get IE to open. I had been using firefox for my browser but it would not open after I got rid of the virus. The only things I got to open were IE, My Pictures, My Computer and My Documents.

You have good taste in beer Chilli Pepper. I'm a Yueng Ling man when I drink but Killians was my 2nd choice.
