For those that use it, what is the difference? I do not remember Rotella labeling T5 or T6...

The 5w40 in the blue and the 15w40 in the white are good to use. The new one which is a blend in the Grey bottle doesn't carry the right codes for motorcycles.

I am not an oil expert but...

I use rotella T6

From their web site.

Do you recommend using ROTELLA in wet clutch applications?

ROTELLA T does not contain friction modifiers that are added to many passenger-car-only-oils, and it does not comply with all requirements of ILSAC GF-1, GF-2, GF-3 and GF-4 (the ILSAC oil specifications are often recommended by many gasoline passenger car engine manufacturers). That can be good for motorcycle/ATV use. Friction modifiers can upset wet clutch operation. And the ILSAC requirements limit phosphorus content.

JASO-DH-2 is the code you need to look for. This is a code that Japan uses for their approved oils. The T5 has it in the 10w30 weight, but not in the 10w40. The T3 has it and so does the Rotella 15w40 in the white jug. Up-date, just looked at the site and the T5 has it listed in the 15w40 now. They didn't carry the code a few months ago. My bad. Looks like all the Rotella oils are good. I have been using the T6, but next oil change switching to the 15w40 in the Rotella triple protection.

I've used the T6 for a while. The only reason I'm switching is having a hard time finding the T6. The T6 is a good oil. I guess I could order it.

Just went for a 127 mile ride with the first time on Rotella T6 after using Amsoil motorcycle and Mobil 1 motorcycle specific oil.  I also went with a Hondaline auto filter.  Other than more gear whine I noticed no difference.  The gear whine was annoying..... I may go back to Mobil 1 motorcycle oil or try the Mobil 1 truck oil next time.  Anybody have a report on the gear whine with the Mobil 1 truck oil?

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

The only thing and I mean the ONLY thing I can fault the Valk. for is GEAR WHINE. If oil would make it a little less "whiney" I would jump on it. I guess it depends on who is using what and how good thier ears are. I have used Rotella for about ten years but would change in a New York Minute if I thought another oil would HELP. "Opinions" I guess it`s like belly buttoms, everyone has one.  Undecided
I guess you need to try and see !!!

My $.02.  I think it has more to do with the weight of oil you are using.  Less noise with the 20w-50w Mobil-1 than the 10w-40w Rosmella.  Here in TX, we don't need the winter 5w or 10w oils on that end of the spectrum.
YMMV.
