For folks using a Pengil petcock, it looks like it would be hard to reach under the tank to switch to reserve while riding.   ??? Are you guys removing the chrome plate that surrounds the OEM fuel selector knob to give more clearance for your hands?  Something else?

2001 Standard

Thanks.

Don't know why you would leave it on since it's not used anymore.

If we take off all the plastic chrome, we would have to take of the blinkers, the tach and speedo covers, the rear brake reseviour cover, the alternator cover and possibly a few other things my old brain can't recall.  If it's shiny, I'm good.   cooldude

If you have covers, you can get solid ones for the Pingel install. Mike at Valkyrie Bling has some spiffy looking ones, I had him make me a custom one. As far as reaching there is lots of room under there behind the cover. Also, with covers you have chrome!  cooldude

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

You get use to it. At work i'm used to finding things with my fingers and not looking at the same time. Same for the petcock. When my hand goes under, I can visualize where its at, esp with gloves on. Its not bad at all. Of coarse I have little paddies.  Embarrassed
