They say they will do all maintenance for 5 years or FIVE THOUSAND MILES whichever is first

That is amazing

There are folks out there who ride less than 1250 miles a year

Well if the nearest bar and dairy queen is down the street maybe its reasonable

I dont get it

comments?

I can't provide the source, so there's a chance this is just hearsay, but I recall reading years ago that Harley Davidson had commissioned a study, and discovered that the average Harley owner rode 800 miles a year...

i guess if you compare dog years to harley years, then i rode ten years of a harleys life last year alone.

?does that make sense?

It's not just harleys.... I have found lots of Valks on Craigslist.... 11 and 12 years old with less than 17000 miles.... Hey!!!!! I thought it was good to find a used bike with low miles....  Opens lots of  chances to buy used....A bright side for those of us that rack up the miles!!!!

Be careful denigrating other motorcycle owners for how little they ride.  It's likely that someone can be found who rides more than do you.

I have a friend who regularly pushes 40K miles per year and I heard of one very nature woman who did something over 150K miles in a year.

Myself, I just ride almost as much as I want to and I'm very thankful for folks who have well preserved, hardly ridden bikes in their garages that they'll eventually sell.

You are right Willow. I did not turn the ad over in my mind enough

I should have said shame on HARLEY for such a low mileage program

Five Years should have been 50,000.00 miles like with a car warranty as I do know Harley riders who put on serious miles and Valk riders who dont.

But it still amazes me that the ad is getting so much play here in NY

When I was looking at a HD dresser for the X, the salesman had a book that listed bikes and the average miles for the year. It was quite high.  ???

I repoed three Harleys this week, the average miles on two of them were less than 1200 a year and neither of them had been registered in over a year. the other one would have averaged almost 1800 a year but also had not been registered in almost a year.
