I picked up a second bike last weekend. It's a 2006 V-Strom and it's my fleet colors of Red and black

Very cool, Mongo. And it even matches the truck!

Let us know what you think of it. I was thinking of adding the 650 VStrom as my second bike, but then the first bike (Valk Standard) was wrecked by a cager...

Everything matches now. 2002 Ford Escape, 2004 Chevrolet Colorado, 1999 Interstate and now a 2006 V-strom. Smiley Smiley

The 1989 Honda Transalp in the photo i bought from a friends estate in 1999 (I loved that bike) He had four sons but one had died on a motorcycle the year before his death So at that time their mother would not allow any of the other sons to have the bike. about 8 years later one of the sons started to ride and wanted his dad's bike and of course I could not turn him down. That what his dad would have wanted.
The V-strom sits and rides a lot like the Transalp. That's why I wanted it.  The V-strom is quicker but it is only 4 years old and has only 5,500 miles on it. The Transalp was 10 years old and had 38,000 miles on it when I got it. At about 450 pounds it feels like a scooter when moving it around the garage or parking it.
