What would you pay for a wrecked Valk? I have an oportunity to buy a wrecked Valk. Front end shot, forks, wheel, fender, handlebars. Engine now does not run and dumped all it's oil on impact. I don't know the extent of frame damage or where the oil leaked from, could've just been from the oil filter which is now where the front wheel is. I wanted it for the tins, figured I could make my money back selling them. Then I could have spare carbs and driveshaft, u-joint and splines.
It's got 20k on the clock, about all I know. Going to look at it tonight, he wants $1000.00 for it.
Oh yeah, 97 standard cinnamin & cream. Plain Jane, only upgrade is a Mustang seat.

1000 $ I might buy it but thats me if the frame is not bent it is something that can be brought back it's not about the money because you can spread that out buying parts here and there with no hurry if you already have a Valk. IMHO I would.

Doug, I'd be interested in a split sale with you if the engine is good. If not I'd still be interested in the carbs & possibly the rear drive assembly.
Give me a shout. I'll bet you could part it out & easily get at least free tins out of it for yourself. cooldude

Eddie, He won't let me buy just the carbs and rear end. That was my first question. The bike took a good direct front impact. Engine won't run, not sure of the condition there. This looks like too much for me and I don't want to mail heavy parts for parting out. I wanted to part out the tins to get my money back and then keep the good parts for myself. Sline, shaft, carbs ect...
Then I have to get this thing moved to my home somehow and take up valuable space that I don't have. So my decision is to back out of this deal. If you are interested I will send you a pm with his contact info. He SAYS he's got several others coming to look, but I know he's in a real bind to get it out of his driveway, his community is on his back about it.

We're going out of town but if I were going to be home I'd jump on it. I could be there in 90 min. with my trailer. For the money it's worth the chance.

Email me at BIGOWL29@COMCAST.NET, I'll take the seat if you are reasonable with the price.

I will tell you from experience...if you can part it out and make a few bucks...DO IT!  If you plan on trying to restore it forget it you will end up with more money in it than you will ever get out of it & it will always be a "wrecked bike". Sometimes it is cheaper & better to buy a good used bike.

Another experience thing, if the bike took a direct hit in the front the frame will be bent.
Not a bike that can be put back on the road. Cry
