I recently got the bug to upgrade from my Harbor Freight trailer to a professionally made one. What ever the opinions are of pulling a trailer, I find them to make for much easier travel...don't have to wear the same clothes everyday  Wink. We pull to events/destinations, park it at the hotel and then ride, the best of both worlds.

I did some research as I neither wanted to, or could, spent $3500+ on a professionally made trailer. Found the Matrix Rover which seemed to fit the bill well enough, plus they could be had, nicely appointed for decent prices (approximately double that of a complete HF). Found a floor model (never pulled), fully optioned, for sale in Wisconsin (via Craiglist) and was able to get it for about $1200 below "sticker" price.

Took it out for it's maiden voyage yesterday... about 50 miles of city, country, and highway. Was steady as a rock even up to 90 mph... didn't even feel it back there. Found it to be much smoother then the Harbor Freight. It has independant torsion axles.

The interior has the optional carpet kit.

Very nice trailer for the money...

***I don't work for these guys, nor do I have any other connections... just feel that good products and/or services should be shared with fellow VRCC'ers. YMMV

Yeah, it’s the torsion axels verses the springs on the harbor freight trailer!  We have a pop up camper that has torsion suspension; I’ll avoid buying anything with springs again!!

Looks nice.

Only way I got my HF trailer to ride better was to remove one of the leaf springs and make the tougne longer.

ditto on the single spring for the HF trailer... works great.

I checked out that trailer at this website    http://www.cyclematetrailers.com/albums/album_image/2958013/869169.htm    and noticed that the spare tire is under the front of the carpeted section.  I see there is a rear panel in the carpet section for what I think might be a little storage area, but I don't see it shown on the website.  Care to take some more pics of your interior and tell us what the square panel in the carpet is all about?

And, you should have loaded that trailer down a bit to give you a little better idea of how it will feel and get a feel for loading it, making sure the tongue weight is good not too light but not too heavy either.    Looks like a nice little trailer that is reasonably priced and would be easy to get painted to match a bike.

I like that setup. I make do with an older model "pod" trailer no longer made. Picked it up for $500. Does the job when riding for work or camping with the wife off the bike.

Joe, yes that is a garment bag. Since this trailer was a floor model, the dealer in Wisconsin got it with all the available factory options. The garment bag is the highest priced option they have (near $250 list, just for the garment bag  ??? Plus, you need to buy the roof rack at $160 to use the garment bag  Shocked ).

It looked like the trailer dealer I bought it from was going out of, or close to going out of business. I ended up getting this trailer with all the options for the price of the base model.

PA, it has two storage areas under the carpet. The first as you pointed out is a spare tire holder. The second is about 1' x 2' and is about 6"-8" deep. Nice little cubbyhole for a lot of little things.
