crazy2 Not as drastic as it sounds, yet fairly suprising.
Overnight rain had been on the verge of freezing. The temps this morning were hovering around freezing. Warmer than it could have been.

I was suprised at how well the Valk handled the cool slippery roads. Long heavy bike with nice contact patches.

I was going to turn left onto another road, in a curve, where the road is pitched a bit for a slight incline. I saw headlights coming out of the darkness around the corner, so I waited patiently. No use getting into any trouble by being in a hurry. So I held the brake, held the clutch and rested on my left foot with my turn signal blinking away.
As the cars came around the corner I realized that I was moving. At first I just thought it was a trick of the headlights approaching on the shiny damp asphalt. I soon realized however that I was in fact moving. I was not rolling. I squeezed the brake to be sure I hadn't let up, but it wasn't rolling.

I was sliding. The heavy bike on the slippery roads was sliding down the hill. The asphalt must have been closer to freezing than I realized.

I was sure to ease on the throttle as I took off and had no problems.
I did ride a bit slower this morning than I usually would because of the slick damp asphalt and raised oil, but overall no problems.

It could have been a pretty ride, if it hadn't been to dark to see it.  A day without the sun is...well...night.
