I just visited my local Honda dealership (35N Honda in New Braunfels, Texas) which is the dealer where I bought my '03 Standard brand new.  It now has over 76,000 happy miles on it.

I've used this dealership several times for minor warranty work with complete satisfaction in the past.

Gerardo (sp?) is the shop manager and is a very good guy and has promised to help if he can

I purchased the extended seven year warranty from the dealership well before my 3 year warranty expired...

Like I said no problems getting stuff warranted in the past like a leaky fork seal (no charge), petcock (no charge), fork springs (no charge), headlight bulb (no charge).
Now I have an exhaust leak and they say it will not be covered even though the warranty specifically says it will handle any exhaust problem (parts and labor) for seven years and my warranty is good until August 17th.
What can I do, and now I worried like crazy that if something big happens I am screwed.
This bike has had bvery good care and should still be covered.

Is the 7 year warranty through Honda or someone else?  If through Honda, I would call Mother Honda and complain to them.

I had a dealer refuse work one time when one of my bikes was under warranty.  I told them I was gonna call Mother Honda and see what they had to say about it. The next thing that came out of the owner's mouth was "How soon can you bring it in ?"    Lips Sealed

I shall certainly try that.  Do you happen to have a phone number to the mother ship?

Isn't a contract a contract a contract and should be honored by any Honda authorized dealer.   BTW, how did you get them to replace a light bulb on warranty.....dang, you are good!

...and the bike was nearly new, less than one year, could have been the "one year warranty".
