Just a heads up...
I been price shopping insurance this year for my Valk (full coverage) and liability on my GL1000 and Honda Shadow (mbs)...
Last year my rate was 455 for the year, this year its 240.00.
Might not hurt to check those rates, they seem to have fallen (for my area).

2 Valkyries. A 2000 I/S and a 1997 Std., $277 a year, full coverage with Geico. A few years back I had GMAC Rider Plan, over $500 a year for just the I/S.

That would be nice I should be getting my renewal soon. I think last year it was around 800 for 2 Valks and a Spyder.

Been a few years, but I had geico back in the day.
they sucked on customer (dis)service when I needed to file a claim.
You get what you pay for.

Dairyland (where available) is very cheap, especially if you have a high-liability bike in your stable next to your Valk.
Foremost is another company to shop.
Someone else on the forum mentioned-I believe it was "Markel" or something very similar.I see them in MC mags.

For some reason Ins is location specific & makes a difference where you live. Gieco was over 700 for my 99 I.S & 00 Std, Progressive is $375.00 for both bikes. State farm was double that.

Markel is the name I think,,, I've seen their ads in mags too. I have dairyland, but may shop around next time. Markel was one I intended to call. I've heard less than positive things about the lizard and the FLO nametag companies vis a vis, customer service and paying on claims filed by policy holders. That being said, I know Wizard got a nice payoff on his wrecked bike, so I may take another look at FLO's company.

You guys are talking some serious difference in what I pay for full coverage with Progressive. BUT---what are the amounts of coverage? Some insurance is cheap but the coverage is almost nile.

I have 3 Valks on my Progressive policy which has liability insurance for me and my 22 year old son. It costs about 270.00 per year.

Weird, when I filed a claim a couple years ago from my deer hunting incident (with my truck) they were fine.
