My ridin' bud Jack has one on his Kawasaki Concours 1000 he wired some LED brake lights in it and he seems happy with it.

Let me know how it works out, for some of my distance rides I would not mind having one of those on the back.

That the same one I just paid about $95.00 for from JCWhitney.  :'( and put on my new V-strom I guess I will have see If they have a price match at JCWhitney. It had the smaller one on it when I bought it and I just bought the bigger one so my Helmet would fit in it.

That does seem to be a good price,I purchased this one from JCW and paid 52.00 for it ,and mine doesn't have the finished look it has.  I sometimes need a little more dry lockable storage. So I bolted it to a piece of square aluminum tubing use it in the receiver hitch ,cheap and EZ. I have since this photo moved my license plate up and added turn signals to the trunk lighting. I have a cargo rack also but have used this setup just as often. Keeps the weight low carries in like a suitcase.

I got my sears trunk and mounted it on my standard. I got the large and was suprised how much stuff I put in it for my trip to Leesburg Bikefest. It will come off easy, which is good because I hate the way the bike looks with it on. I will use it for summer trips and day trips when I want to lock stuff up on the bike.

Quality is ok, nothing great but I paid $52 with tax and shipping not to bad.

Sorry so slow to update this thread, been offline for a couple of weeks.  Just putzing with mounts so far with the Medium trunk, the lid won't quite close with a helmet.  I'll get better pics when I get a chance to take it on the road.

Little better pics for an idea how the medium fits on the Valk, wishing I had gotten something like this years ago.  Even if the Sears sale is over, the JC Whitney buy is still pretty worthwhile.

I see why you needed a trunk....those have to be the smallest set of throwover saddlebags I've ever seen.  Should be called saddlepurses.   Grin  Just ribbing a bit, no harm intended.

Man, true that!  I've fiddled around with a half dozen types of soft luggage over the years, shoulda just spung for hard bags a long time ago.
On the other hand you know what they say... small saddlebags--big weener Evil

What kind of pipes are those? Stock? What year. Aftermarket, where do I get some?

Those are stock pipes with Hondaline triple tips.  They're hard to find anymore, and expensive when you do.  They do show up, though.  Watch craigslist, ebay, etc.

G-Man, I have the same color standard and I bought the large sears trunk $50 delivered to the door. I like the trunk OK it is not the best quality but will do for the price. I am not going to keep it on for everyday use but it sure came in handy last week when I went to Leesburg Bikefest. I had two full leather jackets and my ladies chaps and purse in it. Still plenty of room.

I picked some up a few years ago from JCW and made some changes to make them saddle bags on the VTX, They worked good for what they are...
