Look forward to see'ing ya'll!

Hope Chili still has the "Big Black Thing" I gave her in Tennessee back in 2001 (I'm assuming it's the same Chili, seeing as she was from Michigan too, as I recall)

Cheers!

Black Dog...we're gonna miss ya, man.

Smokin' Joe..thanx for the link...I've got it marked on the map..just minutes from our motel across from Graceland  cooldude We'll hit it and eat there on the way to Beale Street for a bag o Gus's chicken to go.

Wizard...looking forward to seeing you and Lyn-Del again Smiley

Willow..hope to see you and Lori there

Fudgie...we'll be at the La Quinta Inn in Champaigne/Urbana the first night. You anywhere close?

Hotglue...I'm just droolin'. Methinks this is turning into a food trip as well as a friend trip. *counts hours on the eliptical this is gonna cost*

Serk...I wore that thing for years until the hook just gave up the ghost one day. Never have found one long enough to replace it. I see you haven't cut your mane either since then  coolsmiley Really looking forward to seeing you and Talynn again.

X-ring...we actually haven't planned our route back yet...or I should say I've made tentative plans but we haven't discussed them yet  Evil Haven't figured out the logistics but N'awlins and Biloxi are in my thoughts before picking up the Natchez Trace in Tupelo....maybe. E-mail your number and we'll try to meet up witchyaz.

I dunno how much we can pack into 7 days. I wanna do it all! Cherohala, Deals Gap, Pigeon Forge...then we'd have to hightail it by superslab from Knoxville. Ummm...Timbr?...ya still with me?  angel crazy2 Evil

JeffK...haven't had any problems with the trailer at all. The only time we notice it's back there (besides the exhaust noise that bounces back off it) is in a stiff cross wind and when braking, of course...takes a little more distance. We limit the amount of ice we put in there, too. No more than a six pack of water and a little food. If it feels too heavy we can always put a little more weight in the back of the trailer but it hasn't been an issue and the cooler is really handy!  Cool

Wayne...thank you for the invite. Don't know 'zackly yet where we're stopping on the way back (playing it by ear at this point) but that area is a definite possibility. Hopefully any hotel at which we stay will have a computer in the lobby or something so's we can keep tabs on all y'all  Wink If we're near we'll post here and mebbe we can all get together with the Fudgester  Grin

Doc...Thanks for the good wishes. We'll hoist something really sugar-y in your honor  2funny

Up date.......

Got a call from TW and Chilli.......They are about 60 miles north of Memphis.... and the rear Avon rang up a nail hole that keeps blowing out the plug...Bummer,, but they are OK!!!!!! and laughing on the phone.... life is good.  Got them hooked up with Speedy who lives near Memphis.... and they have 4 different places to try for a new tire in the morning...all the places were closed when they called tonight.
Chilli sez "Avon = steel magnet".....
Wonder if they make tank treads for a bike?????

It's the little adventures that make a trip memorable and GREAT....

...its all good....all I gotta say is kudos to Progressive road side service....flat at 5 pm in the middle of no where....by 10 am the next morn ..flat bed truck was at our hotel...guys says hook up that trailer and i,ll "coax" the whole rig rig right on up here real nice like...and he did....48 miles outta Memphis....Progressive covered the entire tow...(about 200 bucks worth).....definitely worth the money.....dealer took us right in and by 2:30 we were rolling out the door with a new Dunny EIII....(NO MORE AVONS FOR ME !!!)...even though we lost a day we decided to spend the night in Memphis...(wise decision).....the food and Beal Street were AWESOME !....got lotsa picz to post later.....two lessons learned on that little fiasco....buy a better "plug kit"....and NEVER order a pizza in Osceola Arkansas !  Evil

......we rolled into Texas last night due to a really late start....gonna be at HG,s in a few hours......weather is magnificent...

......before I run...gotta give a plug to...Bob,s Honda and Yamaha in Memphis.....EXCELLENT SERVICE !!
