front brake pads and gl1800 rotors

i have a question about the goldwing replacement rotors? has anybody ever put rear pads with the new rotors. oem of cource. there from what i read thinner like 1mm difference would that alow a rear pad to slip on. valkyrie rotors and the calipers will allow 9.6mm are the rears pads oem at 9.8mm thick. so with the new rotors thinner. now do you still use your oem valkyrie calipers with the new rotors from gl1800. just a thought my rotors are worn down 150,000 miles with a little thicker pads my brakes might not pop when i apply the brakes. i know the danger so no need to get into that. just wondering about the wear it would last alot longer with thick pads
any thoughts on this not sure on the numbers please correct any wrong information i am just researching my options here

Valkyrie rotors are
thicker
that Goldwing rotors.
There is a limit of wear for either of the rotors and that is related to several safety considerations.
Using thicker pads in the calipers will start out compensating for the lesser thickness of the Goldwing rotors initially, but eventually the pads will wear and you will be in the nether area where you have exceeded the design limits of the Valkyrie caliper/piston assembly.
Whether or not this can eventually be a reliability problem has not been broached.
A millimeter or two doesn't seem to be
that
much!
