Looks like the weather forecast for the ride to Meers store is very favorable.  Should be a nice jaunt.  My planned route will be thru Gunter, Tioga, Valley View, Forestburg, St. Joe, crossing the Red River via the Indian Bridge, Ryan, Waurika, Hastings, Temple to Lawton and to Meers.  Depending on what time we get to the area, we may go to the top of Mt. Scott before lunch.  Most of this route will be country riding with a lot of wheat fields and cattle as the scenery.  Then a short trip thru the wildlife refuge before heading home.  The return will be a little more direct; probably east out of Lawton to Hwy 81 and south to 82 to Gainsville and back home.  I plan on leaving the Brookshires in Celina (Preston just south of FM 455) parking lot at 7:30 am.  This is a fairly long day and you need to prepare yourself and your scooter for it.  I would like to get an idea of how many people plan to attend. Please post to this thread if you plan on riding.  It will be a fun day.

There is no lunch too far, nor any need for a reason other than the journey.

I've never been there, but everyone, including my son, recommends it.  Count me in.
