I have a 97 Tourer. I bought a Filter to put on the alternator due to noise in my CB and Serius stero. Does anyone know where it attaches to. It doesn't have wires just holes for bolts or screws.
Thanks Eddie.

It goes on the back (hard to get to) side of the alt., between the output terminal, and ground.

Just curious do you have the wires for the cb and serius on the left side of the bike ? If so move them to the right and the noise will go away...Been there , done that  cooldude It's the coil and alternator feeding into the speakers and moving the wires to the other side prevents the feedback.

There was a secondary filter [to the alternator mounted filter] by Honda that installed in the right side neck area. I don't believe they're available any longer. Maybe an older Wing filter would suffice.

All my CB, Sony, MP3(GPS audio) & speaker wires run down my right side. All are shielded but the speaker wires. I still had some noise. So I installed a ground-loop-isolator and all be good now.
