The parts fiche at Honda Direct Line shows the nut on the right side. I just took mine off and it was on the left side.
Doesnt it matter?

Hey Dave,

It definitely matter.  With the nut on the right side (as looking from the rear of the bike) the swing arm will not pass by the muffler.  Insert the axle from the right side and put the nut on the left side.

It matters.  The parts drawing is wrong.  Axle inserts from the right, with the nut on the left.
