I just Put Patchboy Valve Stems on today (easy to do). Has anyone run into trouble with them? They seem great.

I've had them on my bike now for some time. No problems and no more loss of air pressure due to sitting. The factory ones seemed to always loose a couple lbs a week if the bike just sat.

When I put mine in a couple of years ago, I didn't snug the rear tight enough and had a slow leak until I finally broke the whole thing down again and tightened it.  Too bad they can't be tightened from outside the tire...  Other than that, they've been great.

You also need to grind off the tab on the wheel that holds the plastic tab, as it interferes with the Patchboy.

I know this is true for the billet stems which lay flat on the wheel.

But is it necessary for the 90* patchboys too?

I used the 90* stem and just removed the plastic tab, I didn't have any issues with clearance. Smiley 24hrs and no pressure drop front or rear.

Jake Wilson has the 90 degree chrome stems for $2.00.  They tighten from the outside.

I got mine here.  $2.50 each and $2.63 to ship.  Had within 2-3 days.  Look like Patchboy, but not sure who makes them.  Work great on the bike!
