Going to do some scouting and checking.  As of now, the ride will be to the ACD museum from ground zero (New Haven), maybe the WWII museum if time works out, then a scenic ( or maybe just a nice route) back to New Haven to our place, tire kicking, and dinner at a local restaurant.

Maybe a covered bridge, 465 (steam locomotive) Amish country, etc.

The ride will be called ACDC; Auburn Cord, Duesenberg Museum Cruise.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

We're finalizing the ride.   I've checked out a couple of things.   There are plenty of nice hotels in the Ft. Wayne area but the only nice hotel in New Haven is the Holiday Inn Express , however the rates are high. Depending on the number of people, we might be able to get a lower rate.
Ground Zero is our home in New Haven.

The plan, on Saturday, kick stands up at 8:30 AM, then to ride to Auburn from New Haven, visit the ACD museum, grab a quick lunch, then we'll take one of my favorite rides, described in William Murphy's book (page 182, ride 8, LOL) "Motorcycling Across Indiana'  ( the usual disclaimer, etc).

We'll ride back to Auburn and visit the WWII museum, then ride back to NH, kick tires, and eat at a local restaurant that has lots of decent food at a decent price.

Sunday, breakfast, and go for home.

We're trying to keep it simple but an interesting and fun cruise for our first attempt.  Contact us through VRCC email for more info.
