Hi gang
I just converted my rear turn signals to brk, run, turns using custom dynamics 48 led bulbs.these things are so bright that my tail/brake lamp is hardly noticed.Has anyone here tried any of the led boards that fit inside the brake lamp?Do I have to use a clear lens or will it light up the stock lens?

Mine lights up the stock lens.  I tried it with the clear lens that came with it but didn't like the look so I switched back.  It is really bright.

Here is the link to my tail light.

http://www.radiantz.com/cart/index1.html?c21.html&1

Is this bright enough to satisfy you.    This is in the garage with 8 Shop lights on the ceiling, so it isn't that dark in there.     Notice the reflection on the tractor seat.      On each of the reflectors above the lic plate is a 8 LED safety light they call it.     It isn't even visible to the eye with the brake light lit.

This 128 lamp LED has been on the bike for about 7 years now, and none have burned out as of this writing.

I just looked this up real quick to make the post, but I think it's the right one.  The LEDs are red, and you can use them with your stock red lens, or Clear Alternatives will sell you a package that includes the LED board along with a clear tail light lens.  I just bought the LED board itself, and used my stock red lens.  It's VERY bright and I'm VERY happy with it.  I've had it for a full season and am starting my second.

Thats my setup the Radiantz ,Custom Dynamics and clear alternatives it just doesn't get any better cooldude Viewing angle excellent ease of install excellent and if you are worried about viewing angle when I installed the Radiantz I had a couple of 4 leds lights laying around and installed them to the sides. It doesn't need them but I had nothing to do with them. I use all clear Lens and the leds provide the color and its better this way not only do I like the looks when off but when on its a bit brighter. Since my bike is black silver when off you just notice the chrome when on it lights up and gives a little different look. RJs pic is right on you cant look at this straight on and with the Custom Dynamics clusters you have enough rear realestate to get you really noticed.

So there's a big price difference between the radiantz and the clear alt. led boards. Is the radiantz that much brighter that it's worth 70.00$ more?

I'd predict that some of the LED's would burn out in 7 years time on the cheapie.  All of them are lite on this lamp.

However, I figure I get what I pay for.   So, I make a choice, cheap, medium or expensive...........

I usually go expensive.  example.

This LED light.
Australian Cruise Control. Had it going on 13 years and not an ounce of trouble with it.   Still hold + or - 2 mph from set speed, uphill, downhill or on the Kansas flat land...

The clear alternatives is a brake/turn/run light if I am not mistaken the Radiantz is run/brake. As for brighter or better I choose the Radiantz because I didn't want the turn and I wanted to make sure I had the brightest light knowing leds weren't as bright. I haven't counted but I think the Alternatives has less leds.

I had the clear alternatives board and highly recommend it.

Clear alternatives makes an integrated (brake/turn) board, but also sells brake only boards.

+1     The Clear Alternatives LED board I bought is nothing but running/brake light.  I handled additional lighting with LEDs through the turn signal pods.  I'm very pleased with Clear Alternative's LED board.  It seems to be high quality and has worked great for over a full season.
