Sundays ride

Several weeks ago several of us did the Phoenix, Wickenburg, Congress, Yarnell, Prescott, Jerome and back to Phoenix ride and when we got back home the bikes looked like they had been egged during a high school prank. Too much rain this year brought the bugs out in force. Last week I also noticed the bikes at bike week were rather messier than usual this year meaning that those who took the outlying rides were getting swarmed.

Yesterday nine of us did that same ride to Jerome with significantly less hits. Either their aim was off or we’re getting better at swerving to miss them. Still not pretty but maybe the increase in heat is getting rid of them little annoyances.

Besides several sport bike riders who were doing their best to kill themselves, there was a Porsche Spider like the one James Dean messed up running up from Congress to Yarnell. Maybe he was attempting to do what James Dean did.
