What would cause my mirrors to vibrate at about 2700-3000 rpm 60-65 MPH going uphill when in 5th gear. It seems to be getting worse ???. Checked the u-joint splines pumpkin all looks good  Cool. Could that be 9 year old dampers? 45000 Miles on 01 standard. TIA for any suggestions! ~TJ

How steep was the hill?

My mirrors don't bounce like that unless I take my hands off the bars.

These them here are Texas hills  Grin. Even with my hands on the bars picture  is blurry. The best I can remember: hands on handle bar = always clear picture. It's hell getting older 2funny ~TJ

Stock mirrors or factory?

I put a set of cheap aftermarket mirrors on once and had the same problem. Investigation showed that the glass was held in with double-sided tape! it wasn't sticking well and the mirrors vibrated like a V-twin.
