A couple of weekends ago I ran across a Valk in Utah and in talking to my best friend Connie, we decided it was time for her to own one. So off to utah we went with truck and trailer in tow. Now Connie has ridden dirt bikes before and has been riding with me for many years. I figured she could take the safty course and I would let her ride my dirt bike for a while to get use to everything before we seat her on the Valk. Well last Fri. evening she was getting off my bike, her foot hooked the seat and off she went, BACKWARDS! So what is the first thing ya do, yup, put your hand back to brace yourself. SNAP! Radius bone just up from the wrist broke. Lots of pain and an emergency room visit with a trip to the pharmacy for some pain killers later, she is pretty upset to say the least. 6 to 8 weeks in a cast, shes bummed. Here is a pic of the proud owner.

Hi everyone.  I'm writing from Westernbiker's computer (typing with one hand). Just wanted to say thanks for the comments and well wishes. I'm really looking forward to getting on my Valk and joining in the fun.  Yep... the hair is red!  And Clark, it was great to see you!

Hi Connie --- I basically am from the same back ground --- dirt bike riding history --- rode around with Kendall on his Dragon --- decided I wanted one for my own ...

I got lucky and Connie (F6Gal) sold me My Obsession --- that was almost 5 years and close to 60,000 miles ago ---

Welcome to the Club Lady!  Heal fast & we'll look to see you around this summer/fall!

Connie, Welcome to the club and thanks for saving another Bumble Bee from a European raiding party.  It sure seems to be their favorite color combo.

Connie-  Welcome to the best group of riders I know of!  You don't have to use "WesternBiker's" handle; it doesn't take that long to register.  And from what I can tell in the picture, your wrist looks just fine.   Grin

Wow, ya'll...I don't know what to say!  Not even an official Valk rider yet and you all make me feel like one of the family!  Thanks so much.  I look forward to spending more time getting aquainted.  By the way, Des and Kendal... I remember when you bought the blue and cream from Chuck.  Broke my heart 'cause I secretly wanted her even way back then.  Can't wait til we can all ride together.

Chuck, Glad everything is going well with the bike-Sorry about Connie's wrist. She looks good on the bike! It was nice meeting both of you and I am sure the bike will perform well for you. I am going to miss her.  H-2

Been there and got a T-Shirt.

Had a Valk, sold a Valk and Got a bigger Valk.

Valk is good to ride, sell in Hard Times, and itis worth more if you part it out than if you sellit out right.

Welcome and take a riders course and you will never be sorry you did.

Big Al

This is a good starter bike and I bought for my wife to learn to ride on.

And she never did.
