Last summer I had an accident with my Rat-Rod Valk that was caused by a Highway peg (Kury Iso-Peg) that dug into the pavement and caused a chain of events that led to crashed Valk, broken bones and the end of my riding season,

Daryl of XF6 Design made me a Floor board/Crash guard system that addresses that clearance incident and eases leg comfort. But I still had issues with my ability to shift and use the rear brake, as my ankles are beginning to stiffen (more Nero-muscular problems). As our Valks come with wide/flat foot pegs that make it hard to rotate my foot so and make it hard for me to shift properly.

I looked at the damaged peg and figured that a little time with a file and grinder, and some black powder coat, that I could come up with a better solution than most that I've seen.

Now my feet can rotate freely so as to shift and brake far better, and I now have some unique pegs that isolate any vibration (?) and are comfortable to boot.

Necessity is the mother of invention!

The pegs look good. I was just browsing eBay and found this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/COBRA-LEGEND-FOOTPEGS-HONDA-ACE-VT1100-VALKYRIE-MAGNA-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5192487f2fQQitemZ350346575663QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_2238wt_939
They're similar aren't they? Great minds think alike.

BonS,

Those Cobra pegs are not very expensive, and they do look good.
However those pegs will reduce your seat to peg relationship by about 3/4 inch.

The Kury pegs (with adaptors #7946) keep the pegs at the same as the OEM relationship.

Looks like the bike has been sitting for too long.  Your seat needs a shave!

I use pegs off of a Shadow 750.  I never could get use to the wide Valk "peg".
