1. some of us will be meeting for lunch at the Courtyard Square in Ashland on Friday....like last year. Same place. Time...1230. i know Stormrider, ChrisJ, others will be there. I'll be riding BACK DOWN the mountain to meet there (i'm going up Thursday to get a start on work and unloading!!!!!!!!). after lunch, we'll ride back up the mountain together. Courtyard Square is at the intersection of Hiway 9 and County 31..."downtown" Ashland. Downtown Ashland only has a few traffic lights. and there is a square...a one block square. the cafe is in that square (thus the name...Courtyard Square). It's near the old Chevron station, which changed names lately. Can't remember the name now, but the gas station is still there....the name starts with an M (no, NOT Marathon...i think it's Majestic or something like that?).

2. THE TAXI SERVICE UP TOP. you old timers know the drill. Newbies...we provide a "taxi trailer" service up top. IF YOU WANT, there is no need to ride your bike...and partake of ALL THE BOOZE...and have to ride back...in the fog (yes, there WILL be fog...i pretty  much guarantee it up top!)....or rain...and curves...and deer. We'll take you in the open trailer and pickup truck to and from your hotel room/cabin/chalet/campground. Now, we do NOT drive IN the camp ground...or IN the parking areas of cabins and chalets. you have to meet us at the main perimeter road. we'll pick you up at the "main" road. But it sure beats riding ....in the fog/rain....in the curves/hills...amongst the deer...and....possibly drunk (nah, no one ever drinks all that free liquor up top....do they?)

i would recommend you bring some of your own hooch/booze/beer. i'll start you out with about 7 cases....but.........the crowd is too big (and drinks too much) to supply your "needs" all weekend. so...BYOB as it were...to fill in...........

also, the ONE AND ONLY STORE...up top...closes at 530. they have LIMITED supplies. yes, they do carry SOME HOT beer (it's a long story....open containers...cold beer...is "illegal" in the campgrounds and open areas....but warm beer...ie beer you purchase at the store...unopened ....is ok  uglystupid2). of course, up at the PRIVATE lodge............we make our own rules........

PS........if staying at the hotel or campground..........BE MINDFUL of others. you know....trash, loudness....in THOSE areas, we're not "the only game in town". up at the PRIVATE lodge...where the party is........you can drink.......and make all the noise you want. Back at the hotel or in the campground...quiet hours begin at 10 PM. We all know that "Barney Five" will come a callin' if ya' get too loud in THOSE areas  2funny

also, please pick up after yourselves!!! PRETTY PLEASE!!!

The Taxi service is way cool !!!  Trust me, MAN, THEY GOT SOME FOREST RATS (DEER) up there - for sure and for certain!!!!

Plus, there is usually a lie or two told in the trailer - just one or two!  2funny 2funny
