Just wanted to give a heads up on the ride this past Sunday.
Weather was less than stellar for riding, cold and wet with heavy showers in the morning. Myself and 3 riders from LHMC rode to the Staging area.
Russell's Aunt and Father had the registration area set up with coffee and dounuts at the ready.
Russell arrived around 9am and was in great spirits...great kid...
We had 4 new riders join us today, none of which wanted to brave any more liquid sunshine. So we decided to hit a local diner for breakfast and for some good eats and warm seats.
Pam, Russell's Aunt works for Subaru of America and passed the ride flier around her office, I will tell you that there are some very kind people there.
I recieved a call last night from Pam, she was astonished by the EXTREME generousity of the VRCC members. I would like to THANK ALL OF YOU THAT DONATED...when Pam called and told me about the VRCC members, I could believe what I was hearing and it still brought a tear to my eye, what a GREAT GREAT bunch of people...this goes beyond the meaning of family. You are all TOPS in my book.
All told, we raised just over $1500.00 plus several more checks on the way.
For all of you that donated, again I THANK YOU.
