I just did the option 1 mod from horse apple aranch (mark tobias) and it does not appear to work if you have the signal minder hooked up. (perhaps due to the springs psuhing the switch to neutral?)  anyone try this with the signal minder?  any thoughts?

Can you link to the specific mod? Or perhaps detail the mod you are doing and where in MarkT's web site you find it. I have the SignalMinder but don't know which mod you're working on.

yeh it was opiton 1 (ie the top mod).  and apparently the wiring diagrams are WRONG.  if you look at the relay defiintion at the bottom of the same page, produced by the same person, they are in conflict.  the wiring schematic allowed my battery to short itself and now i need to buy that!!!

its worst than that, got a new battery and i hear the starter gear click out, but the starter doesn' t appear to even turn!!!!! and everything goes dark on the bike.    So, the night beofre the MOD i was riding my bike, I follow that a..holes wire diagram and now my bike is dead... dead.   this site should  kill all the links to that idiots site, so this does't happen to others.

I don't know what the problem is, i will have to remove my starter and do a bench test and go from there.

This guy is dogs...t and costing me $$$$$$$

I didn't find an option 1.  Are you sure it was his instructions, you using the Signal Minder or your workmanship that caused your electrical failure?

I assume this is the Mod you are referring to?
http://www.horseapple.com/Valkyrie/Tech_Tips/IS_Trunk_Signals/is_trunk_signals.html

And is this the wiring diagram??

If this is what you followed, I cannot see how doing this mod, in this manner would cause the problems you list. If this isn't the mod you followed, can you please post a link so we can try and help?

Thank you. What did you use for relays?
