I am not big on rhetoric.

I will remember in November. But I am pissed at the Republicans too. They have ALL let us down.  Obama, and the rest of the Liberals have sped up our demise...  but we're still heading there under the Republicans, bucause they are no longer conservative about the right things, IMO.  They are too conservative about the wrong things... again IMO.

I am actually a candidate for the Indiana State House district 93 in November as a Libertarian.  The only way we're going to send a real message to Washington, is to elect some people that are NOT of the establishmant.  i.e. rep or dem.

We need to send the Republicans a message that we're not gonna tolerate THEIR Liberalism anymore.  Are they better than the Dems... yep.  Are they good enough... NOPE!

November hell!!  The primaries.  Vote them out before the general election.

That'll help.  But you'll still have Reps and Dems in November.  Same old crap on a different cracker.

Careful with the vote them out thing,,, people here in MN did that and wound up with a real comedian (Idiot) just to get rid of the guy in office.  We also tried the we are happy with no one and got Jesse as a Governor. Vote for the man not the party or if he is in office or not. A good incumbent beats an idiot comedian anyday.  BTW I rode my Valk last November.

Jabba not meant to be a reflection on you, as I said vote for the man.

Jabba, not all Republicans did this, or all Democrats, i like to think it is the Voter ignorance that has allowed this to happen, Maybe you could explain why almost EVERY Democrat Blocked Ron Pauls Audit the Fed but NOT 1 Republican ? My thoughts are if McCain won that election we would be ALL Done as the  Conservative Party, he is a FDR lover and would have pushed CAP & Crap, Your right no more Moderate Repub's, Arlan Specters and so on, this is the Scourge that is what has destroyed the GOP. If McCain won as a Republican after Bi Partisan Bush Let the Democratic controlled Congress pass the first FAILED stimulus it would be good rid dins for 20 or so years, But the torch has been passed and well.......speechless. i am a Independent not Libertarian, i will and most the people i know will make the Poser's as Republicans pay for their sins this November. Got to know who your voting for!  cooldude.....                                                                                                                  Democrats   who said NO to The Audit the FED.....why not LOL!!!!!!

John I'm glad to hear that your are throwing your hat into the race, my impression of you is that your a good man with sound beliefs.  I think a candidate has a much better chance of winning a state district election as an independent or Libertarian compared to an Independent or Libertarian running in a National election.

I wish you well.

I really have no chance of winning.  Maybe it'll be different this year... but I ran for township trustee 4 years ago... I thought people were tired of the crap then.  I got 5.5% of the vote.

We'll see how it goes.  What I'd REALLY like to accomplish is to shake up the GOP.  I am a disgruntled Republican.  I am not a GREAT Libertarian either.  I am trying to reform the Indiana Libertarian Party, and we're pretty different from the National LP.

Every party has dissent.  We're no different.  I am pretty hawkish and therefore split from the national LP.  I don't believe in peace at ALL costs.  I know we can't disengage from the world stage.  It's too late for that.

I am a FairTax proponent.  I'd like the Fed to be about 25% of what it is... and I'd like to see the states be 300% of what they are.  I hate how the Fed collects money and redistributes it downhill.  That's totally backwards IMO.  Smaller entities should collect the taxes and pass them UPHILL.  I know these are sort of tongue in cheek, but I have some reform ideas...

1. The government cannot spend more this year than it collected last year.  Period!  Prioritize government programs.
2. Vote on every line item of expenditure.  No amendments and huge pork packages.  Focus on the important stuff.
3. Every law has a sunset date.
4. Implement the FairTax so people KNOW how much they pay in taxes and can hold their electorate accountable.

That’s my whole reform package.
