Fast idle

It was about 55 today so I took the Valkyrie on her maiden (to me) voyage. I did about 90 miles and the only thing I found was the idle was running 1500, warm.
I fired it in the garage and she started first time no choke.
I looked at the procedure on the PDF and it looks like I need a special wrench, and set each carb. I am thinking there should be a throttle stop somewhere handy to adjust the throw of the cable. No joy on my quick inspection pre PDF search.

However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.

One screw on right side of carb bank. Adjust to 1000 RPM. when bike is warmed up.

Look between the first two intake tubes on the right side. Hanging upside down should be the adjustment you are looking for. Usually gray or black knob. That is between cylinders 1 and 3, the rear on the right side is 5 and the other side front to back is 2,4,6. Turn the knob couterclockwise to lower idle speed, should be about 900 rpm. Remember it is upside down.

See the Shop Talk site.
Per Carl Kulow - "Start the engine and be sure that it is idling at ~900 rpm. The idle adjust is a black or gray knob located between the No.1 and 3 intake manifolds on the right side of the bike - it is ~2 inches farther in from the backside of the intakes. It is easy to turn with one finger. "

Thanks folks.
I figured there was a quick solution. I still have the PDF open, think I will make a note on the screen.
