60 miles West of Chicago!

« on: May 02, 2010, 05:33:49 PM »

Well after spending 10 hours on the road .... most of it in a pounding rain and me taking on water I decided safety the better choice so I am in Seymour, IN ... drying out for the night. I65 through Nashville was closed/underwater and ended up on 440 around the city it was slow going  and the rain was pounding but finally got back on I65 north. From Nashville north it was just mile after mile of pounding rain. I still had foolish visions of making it home to-night bbut soon realized that was not to be so I set Seymour as my destination for the day. I should make it home early afternoon tomorrow ... even if it rains.

Great meeting you this weekend. I have the chalet reserved for May 13-15, offer still stands. Glad to see you're safe and dry for the night. We had nothing but 30 mph head and cross winds. Will take that any day over what you've ridden through. Keep it safe. Home and work will be there when you get there.

As Detonator would say "Don't do it the way I would do it, do it right", or something like that.
