I just replaced my speakers both front and rear with some JM replacement 4 and ahalf speakers for a 1800 goldwing in the front and some 4" JM  replacement speakers for an older 1500 wing. Both sets were 3 ohm 140 watt and were purchased from HDL. I can't believe the difference, coming to work today at 80mph wearing a half helmet I could hear my tunes(XM) just great. Life is good. cooldude

I just purchased a set of Soundstream speakers for replacement of the front speakers and they sound like crap. Just to be sure, are you saying that the Goldwing 1800 speakers fit the Interstate? Was there any retrofitting that needed to be done?

The JM speakers that fit the front of an I/S are part #RSPF-GL 15.  I changed mine out about 2 years ago (front and back) and used the Kennedy Tech hook-up to incorporate the MP-3 in the GPS.  Gives clear tunes on FM & MP-3...JTL  Grin

P.S.- the back speakers are part # USK-9000.

Were your old speakers bad or are the replacements that much of an upgrade?
Thanks

Old speakers were bad andcould not be heard above 50-60mph. If you turned them up too loud they got fuzzy. New speakers are much, much better. Smiley
