Hello all. New to board and am proud owner of 2000 valk tourer with 41000 happy miles. Learning to do own bike work after many years of working on four wheel vehicles. I replaced rear wheel bearings at 30,000 miles due to bad left bearing. Within past 5,000 miles have noticed a buzzing, like an electric razor, in handlebars. This occurs between 2500 to 4000 RPM regardless of the gear I am in or the bikes actual speed while accerating. The bike will pull strongly from 1000 rpm up to 2500 then starts buzzing. Sometimes but not all the time this can be felt in the driver foot pegs as well. My wife wo rides with me most of the time does not feel it through her cobra floorboards and I have moved my feet back to her floorboards and not felt anything. The carbs are synced within 1 inch at 1,000 RPM. The bike has new Dunlap E3 tires which were replaacements for for the worn out E3s that were on the bike. Thanks for any help and will post the problem when I find it. By the why I live near Prattville Alabama.

Search the archives for "buzz bolt". One of the bolts across the front of the engine comes loose and will buzz at certain RPMs.

Sandy, I've heard others blame the buzz bolt on felt vibration. Is it the bolt creating the vibration or just reacting to it? I haven't had the problem, I'm just interested in understanding it.
