If change over to the pingle will it work with my engine hangers on? Is pingle the best way to go other than a petcock rebuild for dependability?

I have a pingle and engine hangers on my 97. I just reach under the hanger to the
pingel. I used the old selecter plate and knob to fill in the hole on the hanger. I haven't
tried to do it while riding, but I think it'll work.

+1 Pingle and engine hangers installed. I reach under. Yes, you can do it while riding. Practice a few times while parked in the garage as it's a little different. Once you get the hang of it, no big deal. I also used the old selecter plate but not the selecter knob. I JB welded a shiny new quarter into the hole. It fit perfect. The Valkyrie just plain doesn't look right without the engine hangers. Big ugly hole under the tank looks unfinished.

+2 I followed Tundras lead, only I used a 1976-1776 quarter. It does take a little practice to move the pingle lever. Practice is the key. It can be done.

+3. I also have the Pingle (non-vacuum) with the engine hangers. Very simple and reliable design. Mike from Valkyrie Bling sells an engine hanger specifically for the pingle application that doesn't have the large hole for the regular petcock. As with all of his products, it's top shelf!
