Hello, I recieved a new windsheild today and need help on how to take the old one off. thank-you

 First thing ,remove the speaker panels.
 Then look inside you will see screws that hold the
chrome molding at bottom of windshield.
  Remove them then the chrome and you will see the
screws that hold the windsheild.
   Get a good flashlight and you will see what I mean.

Also when installing the new one use caution tightening the four bolts I cracked my new one. Luckily it went down not up and has no ran since installing.

Did you have the metal spacers in there just asking because when I tighten mine it hits that and kinda stops the bolt from tightening anymore .

Yes I had the metal spacers, I think I might have had the windshield in a bind or not quite in the right position. Surprised the h@## out of me too.

If it cracked with the metal inserts, one of the holes must not have been lined up right.  Otherwise, there would not be much pressure on the windshield.

Just like Shortleg said.  Only takes a few minutes, assuming the screws come out without having the inserts spinning inside the fairing.  Let us know if the screws don't come out.  You can also search Archive for "pem nut"
