Want to thank every one here , especially Willow for putting up with my antics.

Was not my usual self and little bit of a Drama Queen these past few months.

From the time of the first stroke to surgery release form hospital date, 4 months to the day.

That's a long time to wait for something like that. Jan. 13th to May 13th = 4 months.

Now that it's done I think I can relax a bit. Never did I for 1 minute think they had my best

interests at  heart( The Doctor's that is).

Can't for the life of me figure that  out. Maybe it was just  but I bleieve these people that

have studied medicine their whole life are feeling a little bit unappreciated by the Present Regime.

That's the only way to explain the feelings I felt as I viited Doctor after Doctor that ignored the Allergy Syptoms I was havving to Plavix.

Had the thing it's alll in your head thrown at me more than once.

But Ilike my new Interstate and I think it likes me.

Yes Mark I have seen the EVIL and looked hime dead in the peepers.

He ain't so tough if you have a Big Helper Staring at him over your shoulder.

Get well soon Mark.

Call me if'n you need Stanley Steamer to put on our Capes and Be with you.

Capes, now that did not come out the way I thought it would.

How about flexing our Super Powers without the Cape thing.

Maybe with out Utility Belts instead.

Hey, Big Al, how about sending me a PM and tell me more about what your problem was, symptoms and such that led up to whatever your surgery was.  I missed what they actually did to you.

I heard mention of allergic reactions and TIA and not sure what else.

I had TIA's on the way home from Inzane last year.  Might compare notes.  My doctors say all is fine.  No surgery.

Just interested in comparing notes.

I figure God has something left for us to do down here still.

Never did a PM but here goes, I don't mind telling my stroy here.

Tia hit me at work and Hospital Next.

Found the Hole in the right Atrium of courser it goes to the left atrium as well , just feeds unwanted blood over to the right atrium insted of off to the lungs where it should go.

They strung out the surgery dates due to the fact I was low priority I guess.

Plavix was presribed and it made me over time deathyl ill.

After kicking that drug out. I could take nothing , allergic to aspirin.

Then had another TIA after that and waited for the surgery , surgery is doen now and disc is in place.

This is not a particularly rough procedure but it hemoraged under the skin on both legs had catheters in each going to the heart. and that was

a real painful experience. Freaked one of the Nurses Out and the other went on

with her businness of stopping the internal bleeding in boht thighs.

Both at once is bad.

After that all has been smooth sailing, taking Coumadin insted of aspirin, that has a lot of side affects ,but olnly required to take it for 6 months.

So there uyou have the story ,all the while trying to fight Alcoholism or a love for the stuff , not sure abut that yet.

Also depression is one of the other things that I have exp. for the last 4 years .

So life as usual gets complicated as we all know.

But Keep and eye on those TIAS, sometimes they can get nasty.

Thanks for asking

I wonder if one of us is misinformed.

Mine were called TIA's (transient ischemic attacks).  Mini-strokes, which are in the brain.

Yours sounds like it was heart related.

My doctors were only interested in my brain still functioning.  Of course, I do ride on a car tire on my Valkyrie, so maybe the brain has been affected.

At least this thread is now Valk related.

glad things are going well.

Thanks Norman"DOG" for depressing me, just kidding.

Early Bird you are exaclty right, the TIA or Transiant Ischemic Attack is in the Brain.

But something else is causing the clots you are experiencing.

My problem is the hole in the atrium wall or ASD.

1 in four people have this defect from birth, they usaully detect early now and fix it as well.

Us older timers did not have this technology and had to take what we got.

Talk this over wiht your Doctor , most likely unless I am wrong you probably have a hole as well in

your atrium which casues the blood to swirl and increase your chances of clotting and a TIA in your brain.

Not trying to scare anyone. But this is what I know about the TIA.

Indicator of something else in your body that may need an adjustment.

If you have this defect it will rear it's ugly head in yourThirty's and Forty's, I was Forty nine when

my first one occurred.

This hole in the heart thing is a big causal factor of Migraines as I have been told and you can check it out on the internet , just Google it./

So what have we learned here class , one out of 4 people have this defect.

It can and will cause clotting and becasue of the direct path to the brain through this defect strokes can and will form causing the TIA's and even worse.

Also the PFO or Peyton Framen Ovale as they are called can increase your chances for Heart Attack and Stroke and MIgraines as well.

Doctor's are now putting two and two together and linking thse defects to Migraine Problems, and these can be debilitating .

So check the Internet and talk wiht your family Doctor.

It just might help you live a longer and happier life.

They attributed mine to prolonged higher elevation (Frisco, CO) and dehydration which caused my blood to thicken which caused it to stutter going to the microscopic veins in my brain.  So, I was lucky with no permanent damage.  Very grateful that God allowed me to have them OFF the Valk and visiting with friends who could assist quickly.

Sure glad God is in control.
