Ever since I have installed the OEM CB on my Valkyrie, I have had a problem with feedback when it rains ... hard. Yesterday it did it to me again. I have taped up the connections on the cord except for the one where it plugs into the bike mounted on the dash. Is there something else I can do? I was wondering about applying silicone around the wires of the unit itself but it looks as though I would have to remove the unit to get the job done. Anyone else experience this and how did you fix it??  Thanks!

I have experienced that too but need to find out the same thing--you're not alone.

I've had this happen when the mic on the headset gets wet in the rain.

I might  coolsmiley have a fix for this but am not sure. It may have been my headset volume for the intercom was set too high. My wife rides with me on occasion and it was up quite a bit for that purpose. I turned it down to "0" and the noise went away. Let me know if this has worked as well for you guys. Thanks for responding to my predicament.

Do you have a cap on the passenger headset cable connector down by the left side on the chrome rail?  When mine got wet it squeeled.  First noticed it after giving her a bath.  Shook it out real good and it quit.  I found a connection unner the seat with a cap where the cable plugs in to run to the passenger.  Didn't need it there cuz the cable is plugged it...   uglystupid2  Pulled it off and stuck it on the connector by the seat.  No more problems under any conditions.
