Hi, I'm halfway installed and the final hookups to the brake lever switch are not lining up too well. The brake lever is hitting the main part of the asssembly when you apply them It all seems a little too tight. Any advice?

Do you have stock levers? Mine worked great until I switched to the wider Kuryakyn levers, then the levers started hitting the main assembly like you're getting.

Why not just add a washer where the slotted [Breakaway] angle mount secures to the lever pivot bolt. If your bottomed at the slot and still need the unit to roll forward increasing lever action clearance this should work.
I have true cruise control but I recently installed the Breakaway throttle lock on Joanne' VStar. I assume the mounting procedure is similar. I like the Breakaway and think it's the finest throttle lock available. It just takes some time [tinkering] for final function adjustments.

If the brake handle has a numbered disk for adjustment it is not the Valkyrie OE handle.

No Adjustment on the lever, so probably stock. I got it to clear the mechanism, but now the throttle does not return too well when I start to tighten things up. I may try starting over to be sure I have everything square. thanks for the help so far

I took me several tries over a period of several weeks to get it perfect on mine. It is beautifully engineered, but everything needs to be just so.

Hey Loafer , I put one my Valk too and it beats the hell out of the old plastic cruise control , but you just need to tinker and adjust it little by little until the mechanics of this control works like it suppose too ... just take your time and work on the old patience patience and it will come to ya you would think for the price this thing oughta talk to me and make coffee too

I put one on a little over a year ago and everything lined up properly until I tightened up the fasteners and then it would bind. What I found to be the "L" shaped bracket that (I think) fastened to the brake lever. An ever so slightly movement when tightening the nut caused the alignment to get off and cause the binding. My Suggestion, start here by moving it while still quite tight and see if that is the problem. Good luck, when right the breakaway is great.

I had a brakeaway on my STandard with the OEM grips. I now have an IS with Kury grips and am wondering if the lock will work with these? I have been told that it will and that it won't, so am curious about everyone else's experience.
