I'm thinking about getting some floorboards for my Interstate and I am wondering what floorboards y'all use and like?  Do you have to get the heel/toe shifters or need the relocation brackets for them to fit properly.

Will VTX floorboards fit on our Valk's?  I see some real good deals on VTX Retro and Custom floorboards.

What about forward controls?  Anyone using them, do you like them?

Any thoughts and ideas appreciated.

Anyone have any boards they want to sell?

I have the cobra footboards and love 'em.  You do need a toe/heal shifter with them.  I have the Rattlebars.

If the standard pegs are the same between a VTX and a Valk, then logically they should work.   But I've never tried it.

I have the Show Chrome Mini Floorboards on mine. l do have a Kury Heel-Toe, but I don't think you'd have to use one since the boards are really more like wider pegs.
Here's a link to JCW with a set similar to mine.

I use Cobra floorboards with rattlebars relocators. I don't use heel toe on the Valk, but I do like it on the HD.

Chuck,

I have been contemplating floorboards too. I cannot find any after market boards where the part number cross references to a VTX. I have a friend with a VTX 1300 and we could certainly measure the mounts and see. I did see an archived post where Warlock adapted Goldwing boards to the Valk.

I've looked at the forward controls.  The ones that are out there (Big Bike Things?) for the standard won't fit the IS (pods get in the way), and the IS version barely moves the controls forward at all, and the change isn't worth it to me.

The forward foot peg is about 10 inches forward of the stock pegs

10" seems pretty substantial to me.  I am contemplating getting this kit; I have a buddy that has it already and I am waiting for a chance to get together and check them out closely.
