Tiny was a good friend and a good car driver........
My step-dad raced against him in Harlan and Des Moines, IA.
Both were driving 57 Chev's.

Never met him but Dad Liked him.
He was supposed to be a big man like ole Buddy Baker.
Saved that fellers life and then the Wood Brothers put him in a car and he won.
Amazing Story.

Great video of the antique race cars....... LOL......
That means I must be antique also. I remember a lot of those cars on the circuit(s).

I was 10 years old when my step father took me to my first NASCAR race. It was the Atlanta 500 in March (I think) of 1965 or 1966. It cost him $5 for the both of us (I was free since I was under 12) for the back streach grandstand. We stood at the fence since the seats were full. I seem to remember Tiny lead flag to flag.
Lot of stuff has since changed.
