Did you pull the carbs for another reason other than the de-smog? I didn't pull the carbs on either Valk when I did ours.
Just wondering!  cooldude

I didn't realize one threw away the carbs on a desmog.  Guess I have to go back and take mine off!!! That should get it down to 0 emissions, without the carbs on it.

No he said he looked at the carbs and a couple needed to be cleaned (so he pulled them to take them to the shop and have what he needs for sure ) which is what I thought with the way she started to run late last year. And also with all the vaccum lines too he said it would be easier for him. Hey he is the Mechanic I trust his decisions when it comes to that stuff. Besides as long as he gets it done right and she is running right I dont care what he does. Well somewhat don't care. But hey I like the idea about the 0 emmisions without the carb idea...hehehe

Yeah I thought about that.....That is why I took the Magna out today I needed to get the wind and she gets a few more miles to the gallon too.....

Nice Magna.
A friend has a nice purple & white Magna that I took for a spin once & although I wouldn't want to tour long distance with it I did have a blast on it!

Been there & done that on the gunked up carbs... might as well do it all while you have it torn down. cooldude

All 6 carb bowls looked like this!

I hear ya on keeping the old bike that the Valk replaces. We can't bring ourselves to sell Kim's Spirit 750. I ride it to work at least 2 times a week & Kim takes it out on occasional short weekend rides.

Yeah my kid was afraid of the way I told him she was running that they might have some of that in there so he said it would just be easier to do it since he was doing all the other stuff. Then I will get a carb sync and all the other cool stuff...And the mag is sure an awesome ride, I put a lot of bikes twice her size to shame. I even ticked off my brother in law with his big yami warrior that has the expensive speed kit on it I couldn't beat him but he didn't pull away either and that bike with all the stuff is almost 2.5 times her size. And your right I don't know if I would wanna ride the mag too far ...in one shot that is.
