Wisconsin managed to get seven Valks in one location, Sunday, for our impromptu ‘wrench party’ at Jim C’s place (Jim has the ultimate man cave, with more than enough room for working on 3 Valks at once).

Kaz, from Green Bay, took the 150 mile ride down, for a DeSmog on his I/S, Fritz came a somewhat shorter distance, on his Valk, to pick up and install his ‘Radiator Grill’ from ‘The Valk Whisperer’ Daryl.
John supervising Daryl (That lift table is 'Da Bomb')... Loth and Fritz trying to get smart at electricity... And Kaz starting to tear down his I/S, for the desmog...
Also making appearances, were Loth, from Brookfield (fixing a ‘fogged up’ Moto Light), John from Milwaukee (another DeSmog, and wiring a switch for his light bar), Jim (providing encouragement, a hand when needed, smart azz comments when not needed, water, soda, and food) and myself (making new baffles for the Glass Packs, so I can hear my XM when on the road for Timbr n Chillies ‘Q in da Woods’, this coming weekend) …

When everyone started to get hungry, Jim and Loth took a run to a very nice Greek diner, just down the road... Gyros for most, but Kaz and I opted for burgers, and as you can see, it was a very good choice...
It was 94 degrees (with humidity off the charts), by 2:00 in the afternoon, but quite comfortable in the shop… That is until Kaz pulled his tank, and we found out that his petcock was bad, after about a cup of gas spilled and filled the shop with fumes… Not his fault, and good thing he found out when he did… Once the doors were opened, There were a couple of us that lean to the ‘large’ side, that started to melt (Ain't that right Jim? )…
All in all, a success. Kaz may not agree, as he came the furthest, and was late in heading home (a 2 ½ hour ride during daylight, probably a bit more, when playing chicken with the abundant ‘forest rat’ population that tends to congregate on the roadways on Wisconsin evenings). I had run home to make dinner for my boys, and when I returned, they were buttoning up Kaz’s ride. Stuck around for a couple of fingers of scotch (provided by our host, Jim) and went home to shower, and get some sleep for starting the work week.
Amazing things get done when Valk riders get together... A big thanks goes out to Jim C, for providing a place to play (although I did see his wife out doing garden work, so he may of had alterior motives), and Daryl of Xf6 Customs (
