Bought a new '00 IS last week in the Phoenix area.  Prior owner traded it in on a Hardley after owning for 17 months and about 500 miles.  Owner before that had the bike for about five years as near as I can tell.  Has just over 13k on the clock.

I would really like to know more about the history on this bike, if anyone on board recognizes it.  I suspect there are not that many silver/blue IS's with these unique pinstripes in AZ.

Thanks in advance for any help I can get.  By the way, bike runs pretty good except for the varnish in the carbs.  Running Techron through it now.

17 months and 500 miles... what a waste of a great bike.

I rode my new to me IS 1000 miles the 1st 3 days.  Not that THAT is a lot by Valk standards.

Right you are Jabba.  His loss my gain.  Picked up a near new bike without a scratch for less than 1/2 price new.  I am very pleased.

Jim that bike looks great!  I love the color scheme.  Jabba is right... "what a waste".  But, for you....  What a gain!!   cooldude

Enjoy it... I picked up my black i/s with 19k miles on her about four years ago.  She now has 58k and still doesn't miss a beat...  I still think she is getting broke in!!

I'd say with 13,000 it has no history other than sittin' in a garage collecting dust  Undecided

I think he just wanted some more history.  With those stripes on it, someone should know it.
