I saw this add and rode over to check it out.

If anyones interested, it is 2 towns away, It has spent its life in a heated garage, waxed but barely ridden. The owner has a bad back. It is cosmetically flawless. I started the bike up and it ran horrible, it will not idle unless it is choked 50%. I asked him about the fuel age and how he stores it. He said he is running last years fuel and just runs the bowls dry for the winter (no Stabil). I took it for a spin, at first it felt like it needed to be put on reserve (the starving feeling). At 3000 rpm it perked up (still choked). I asked him of any mods or service. All stock , dealer serviced, air filter changed at 4k miles.  Undecided
He wants $8k, I offerred $7k and told him to put fresh fuel and run Techron or Seafoam. So if anyone is looking..... I think it is kinda steep above $7k.

"Dealer serviced"  That's probly a mark against it.  Shouldn't have screwed it up to much with that little a miles, I guess.  I agree with you, 8000 bucks is a really nice low miles Interstate price, but too high for a Standard, a little high for a Tourer.  Undecided  hoser

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

After letting the gentleman think about my $7k offer for the tourer a week ago....He called me and left me a message if I was still interested  Roll Eyes.... I thought long and hard, feeling that I deserved a second Valk in the stable since everyone else is getting spare bikes  uglystupid2.
Then I started watching this (Until Debt Do us Part) show. It really me realize that I have a credit card debt paying 19.9% ($133 a month in interest alone). I figured I have no business laying out $$$$$ for another toy while I owe. So I'm putting the $$$$ instead into eliminating my debt and going to polish my perfectly fine Valk.

Sooooo, if anyone is still looking for a cherry Valk, the seller is ready to part with the bike for $7k. Smiley

Dave Ramsey did it to me as well. Sometimes I wish I had never taken the course. (Financial Peace University) But it opened my eyes to the debt issue. Just glad I did it AFTER I bought the I/S.. cooldude
