I have a 98 Valk Standard, and am having dead spots when pulling away from stop lights. After that valk runs fine. The Carbs have never been disassembled since I purchased the bike (April 2010) and the previous Owner never performed much maintenance short of Oil Changes. My QUESTION is what parts do I need to replace and where is the best place to purchase these Parts? Any advise would be helpful.  Undecided

I doubt that you need any parts. Assuming that parts have not be altered.
Start with a good cleaning and see if that fixes the issues.

I agree with Pete.

Start with a good cleaning.
Pour a bottle and concentrated 'Carb Cleaner' through a tank or two or three.
At the very least, the chemical clean will make a manual cleaning easier.

Good luck.

I think I'd start by running several tanks with good heavy doses of Sea-Foam[full cans] thru it and change the vacuum lines..
