I ran across this photo on the Net.  Every time the govt. meddlers get to micro managing our lives they should be shown this clipping.

BTW:  They were wrong about the Corvair, too.

If you think that's messed up, wait until they nationalize health care!  Sad

It was manned out with life vests that inflated if you were quickly removed from the motorcycle. It also had an airbag. They were trying to show how 'safe' a bike could be made if legislators ran amuck.
Imagine that. A gold wing with air bags.

Does anyone know if Goldwings have airbags now? Saw a show once where they were testing them.

I use to have the add for 2006 goldwing showing the airbag. The company I use to work for was working with an other company with an airbags in the jacket. If you go to Youtube and look for motorcycle airbags they show some.

don't think I've ever seen one and known it on the street. Although luckily, I have not seen a bike wreck up close and personal in a while. Perhaps I'm just missing something.

No, you're not missing anything.  The darn airbag looks like a big butt.

I used to have "UNSAFE AT ANY SPEED" prominently written on the front fender of my
YZ490. If I noticed anyone on the line looking at it, I looked back at them
with crossed eyes  uglystupid2...

Yes - 2008 Honda Goldwings have and airbag. It is designed to keep the driver from impacting his/her forhead on the windshield in a head-on collision. I saw it at the stealer last fall.

It must have been designed by a politician. It does look like a big butt, so would be a familiar scene for many of them.
