I will be leaving Illinois Tuesday morning for my attempt to fulfill my obligation of meandering through all 48 contiguous states on my 2000 Valkyrie Interstate. The trip will take approximately 28 days through 8,400 beautiful miles of scenery. I have done all I can do to ensure that my bike with 110,000 miles on it will be maintenance free but we all know that can change in a heartbeat. I have included a trip route in case you are interested. I will be bringing back some photos to share with you. Wish me luck ....

Keep the cell phone charged, stay in touch with loved ones and keep us informed as you go.  cooldude  I completed my lower 48 ride a couple of years ago and due to a tire issue had to change some of the route. Still got'er done but I plan on going back to those areas I had to cut short  or route around and spend more time.  Smiley

I also am quite jealous for that is my dream, but with old age and failing health I will have to do the trip with you vicariously by looking for your posts and Photo's. So have a safe and wounderfull trip and I will be looking and dreaming. cooldude
